Hold onto your hats! A Lunch Bunch Group on Zoom will be starting soon. We know from our many past meetings of the NPC Lunch Bunch group how much we enjoy eating together at restaurants once a month. Those meals provided a great chance to visit and enjoy each other’s company.
Although we can’t share tasty food over the Internet, we can still enjoy getting together via Zoom conferencing. We can still talk about our favorite restaurants, favorite recipes we like to make at home, kitchen appliances, kitchen gadgets, and more.
Feel free to invite your friends, relatives, and neighbors to our first Zoom Lunch Bunch. It won’t be the same as being together in person, of course, but it will be the next best thing. And you can take part without leaving the comfort of your own home.
Several members and their friends have already signed up, so please join the group. Just contact Gwen Aumann at firstname.lastname@example.org. The day and time will be selected after a sufficient number of people have made their reservations.
If you haven’t used Zoom before, you’ll find it’s easy to set up and operate. The program (or “app”) can be downloaded free to a smartphone, computer, or tablet. Using the system is free, too, if we limit our time to 40 minutes or less. For a very good tutorial on using Zoom, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isp3qPeQ0E&feature=emb_title
