The Public Worship Task Force met on Wednesday, July 27 to discuss new procedures for keeping our worship services safe at Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. The following are our recommendations:
Masks Encouraged
If you are concerned about infecting or becoming infected with COVID-19 while at the church, please wear a mask to indicate to others your desire for social distancing. Please respect the unspoken request of those wearing masks by refraining from shaking hands, hugging or sitting or standing within three feet of them.
Communion
We will continue to serve pita bread for now as Covid numbers are rising in Georgia. When numbers are considerably lower we can go back to serving wine and pita bread. We will keep watching the Covid numbers and adjust as needed.
Pastor Teresa will wear a KN95 mask during communion to be more cautious.
KN95 masks will be available for anyone who feels the need to be protected. We will have children and adult size masks available. KN95 masks have been proven to be effective against the new variants.
Singing
Barbara Luhn will handle the protocol for masking.
