Thank you, Garden Angels, for all your hard work in the Spring preparing the soil, planting, mulching, and watering. Since that time, several people have continued working in the gardens, taking care of weekly watering and weeding.
If you can spare the time, we would love to have you come and work in the gardens. There is always a need for weeding, especially with all of the rain we’ve had this summer, but since there have been dry periods as well, there are watering opportunities, too. This fall, the plan is to work on the overcrowding of plants, especially the irises and hostas. Think how pleasant it would be to bring a sack lunch, work for a while in the gardens, and then enjoy your meal sitting on one of the benches or at a table in the shade.
