The Sautee Camerata was originally formed as an a cappella group for men and women. Following that group’s last season and just prior to COVID, several of the men in the group had transitions that took them away from this area. Last year we re-grouped (literally!) and the singers are now all treble voices. 9 women sing in our group: Lynda Averack, Catherine Brooks-Geiger, Rachel Carpenter, Elizabeth Crittenden, Sara Crunkleton, Cheri Crutchfield-Luhn, Clarissa Evans, Susan Johnson, and Courtney Johnston. The group is directed by Barbara Luhn.
While the original Sautee Camerata performed music only from the Renaissance, our current configuration incorporates music from various time periods. Our October performance will include many styles of choral works as well as including some duets sung by members of the ensemble. We are also extremely excited to premiere a composition written for us by DeDe Vogt. It is a gem!!!
Please plan to join us on Sunday, October 29th, 4 pm at the church. The concert is free and open to all!
