AL-ANON
Al-Anon is part of a “worldwide fellowship offering a program of recovery for the families and friends of alcoholics, whether or not the alcoholic recognizes the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.” Open meetings (newcomers and all genders are welcome) are held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday afternoons in the church family room.
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. A women-only open group meets at 5:45 pm on Tuesdays in the church family room. Newcomers are always welcome.

This lively club meets on the second Monday of each month at 2:00 pm at the church. Contact the coordinator for this month’s selection.
CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP
This group offers support to those folks who are caring for a family member or friend who is ill or failing. These caregivers may be serving full- or part-time, in the home or at a distance. All levels of care have their difficulties and stresses, which might be lessened by some problem-solving and sharing time with others who understand.
CHOIR
From Stamps-Baxter hymns to African-American Spirituals and motets in Latin, if you love to sing, we’d love to have you join the choir. Throughout the year, we rehearse on Sunday mornings from 10:10 am to 10:55 am. September through May, the choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. We sing regularly at the second Sunday worship service as well as on Christmas Eve and Good Friday. During the summer months, there are no Wednesday rehearsals. For special occasions we form a “folk choir” that includes acoustic instruments and those who may not be able to join the Sunday service choir. Rehearsal times are announced.
EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year distance-learning certificate program in theological education (offered by the University of the South, School of Theology) based upon small-group study and practice. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and brings it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together. Check the calendar and newsletter for dates and times.
CREATION CARE CONNECTION
A group formed by EfM (Education for Ministry) students and graduates broadens and heightens the ongoing focus of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church on the wonders of God’s creation and on our relationship, connection, and responsibility to that creation.
