As Carrie Saathoff of the New Castle Presbytery Guatemala Partnership noted in an email recently, it’s been two years since people from our fellowship have been able to travel to Guatemala and interact with our many sisters and brothers there.
In the meantime, Carrie has been working with CEDEPCA, a Christian non-profit organization headquartered in Guatemala City, serving Central America, on ways to stay connected. One of those ways is by participating in CEDEPCA’s Taste of Guatemala, a virtual chocolate tasting and celebration. This year’s event will take place on November 18 from 7:30 to 8:45 pm Eastern time.
This event will feature all new chocolates and a very special program to celebrate CEDEPCA’s 35th anniversary. As CEDEPCA says, “Join us for an evening filled with sweet bites, celebration, and camaraderie. This 75-minute event will feature an interactive tasting with chocolate sommelier Estelle Tracy of 37 Chocolates and Nico Silverman of Diego’s Chocolates, followed by a celebration of CEDEPCA’s 35th anniversary! Your registration fee ($58) includes four artisanal Guatamalan chocolate bars delivered right to your front door and a $25 tax-deductible donation. Please email Carrie Saathoff with any questions. All are welcome! Click here to register.
