The long-awaited new edition of the church photographic directory came off the press in early October. If you haven’t already picked one up, please take a copy home soon. Because a full-color directory is costly to print, the supply is limited, so please take one copy to share in your household. If extras remain after the initial distribution period, they’ll be available for a suggested $5.00 donation.
Producing a full-color directory with over 50 pages of photographs is a major effort requiring some special skills, and we owe thanks to all who worked on the new edition. Co-leaders of the project team were Communications Committee members Linda Harding and Becky Portwood, who arranged for photography, data collection, layout, and proofreading. Becky, along with Ron Skvarka and Johnny Bailey, coordinated efforts to shoot photos; Martha Shannon worked on data management, and Vicki McMorrough handled design layout.
Any directory of significant size will include a few errors and will be a little outdated by the time it comes off the press. Our new directory is no exception, but we can work together to make sure the contents are corrected and updated. To capture needed changes, a three-ring binder labeled “Directory Corrections” will be kept in Fellowship Hall for the next few weeks. Please take a moment to record any corrections or updates in that copy or email them to the Communications Committee at npccomm@gmail.com. We will soon publish a sheet of changes that you can mark in your copy of the directory so you’ll have the latest information. —Tom Knecht
