Members of the church’s Lunch Bunch enjoyed the décor and food of the El Jinete Restaurant in Clarkesville on March 26. They were greeted by paintings and artifacts of Mexico as they arrived in an eatery where the menu brings flavors of the Southwest to the local area.
Everyone experienced the authentic menu and taste of this family-owned Mexican restaurant. All guests received free chips and dip. Popular menu items were tacos, fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. Many ordered combination lunches that included beans and rice.
The next meeting of the Lunch Bunch will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 23, at Bernie’s Restaurant in Sautee. Notify Delene Lee at delenelee2014@gmail.com if you plan to attend so that appropriate reservations can be made.
