Those who volunteer to provide refreshments for our after-worship fellowship time will appreciate the new, lower shelves that have been installed in the kitchen. The period when our worship services were suspended seemed like the ideal opportunity to add some lower shelves to hold the cups, glasses, pitchers, and other things we use routinely for fellowship time. For people who can’t reach as high, they make these items much more convenient and safely accessible. The church also purchased some new, sturdier step stools for the kitchen to help in retrieving items on high shelves when necessary. We owe a vote of thanks to Jerry White for making these improvements happen.
Speaking of fellowship, the new 2022 fellowship signup calendar is in place. If you would like to provide refreshments for the fellowship time after the 9:00 am or 11:00 am service, just sign up for a Sunday (or as many as you would like.) If you’re not sure about how to make coffee or operate the dishwasher, don’t worry — there are always plenty of people to help. Remember that you don’t have to provide a feast, just some refreshments. A way to remember is to say to yourself “It’s not a meal, it’s a snack.” Make it easy on yourself. Just bring one item that will go with coffee, or two if you feel you must. If you have questions, please contact Gwen Aumann.
