Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the already vulnerable communities in Guatemala are especially in need of food. The government has put curfews in place and halted public transportation, making it difficult for people to get to work or to markets.
We are teaming up with CEDEPCA and the Association of Mam Christian Women for Development to provide emergency food kits that will feed a family of five for a month. CEDEPCA will deliver these kits to the most vulnerable women first. The kits contain food staples such as rice, beans, oil, sugar, flour, salt, oatmeal, powdered milk, eggs, Clorox, toilet paper, and detergent.
The cost per kit is $70.00. Because this is an emergency mission, your support is needed as soon as possible. Please make checks payable to Nacoochee Presbyterian Church and write “Guatemala Food Kits” on the “memo” or “for” line. Have questions? Please contact Sherry Perkins at elkiesp@yahoo.com. Thanks to all!
