Although this year’s Angel Tree program necessarily lacked the “personal touch,” those who contributed had the joy of making Christmas brighter for seventeen families. The recipient families were given at least one $50 gift card each to buy food from Ingles, and all children were given a $25 gift card from Walmart, allowing each family to purchase gifts appropriate for their children. The total amount donated was $2,750!
Thanks to all who contributed so generously, and special thanks to Jennifer Herrera for using her Internet savvy to set up a system for receiving donations online! It was a great help to those who were not able (or did not feel safe) to get out and purchase cards or to drop a check off at the church.
