The History of Liturgy: A 5 Week Adventure Into Understanding How Christians Have Worshipped Since the 1st Century CE
This class meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:00. If you need to bring dinner along, that’s fine. It is being taught by Kathee Tomlin. Kathee has her Master of Sacred Music degree from Mercer University and became interested in the history of liturgy when she was studying church history there. So many parts of the worship experience here at Nacoochee have a rich tradition that dates back to ways of worship in the early years of the church, which are rooted in traditions of worship from the Hebrew people in the temple and in synagogues during Jesus’ lifetime.
The series is being videotaped and you can request notes from Kathee if you have missed the first few classes. Meeting dates are January 16, 23, 30, and February 6 and 13. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kathee at firstname.lastname@example.org/ or by phone at 770-654-7878.
