Helping Individuals and Organizations

Convivio

We host Hispanic Bible study and fellowship for families on the second Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

FAMILY PROMISE NETWORK

Its Mission: to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence by finding existing local resources as they work to get back on their feet. These resources include available congregational spaces, donated goods, and most importantly, volunteers.

Its Vision: a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future together.

Habitat for Humanity

In addition to bi-annual contributions to this local organization, we have many members who volunteer monthly to work on Habitat's buildings and community projects.

Its Vision: a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future together.

Inda Allen Scholarship Fund

We donate the offering from our annual community Thanksgiving Potluck to this fund, which awards scholarships to qualified African-American students. The White County Board of Education administers the scholarships.

Loaves and Fishes Ministry

Members and friends of the church donate food on the first Sunday of each month. We distribute the items to the needy in the community on an as-needed basis.

Ministry to Latin Americans

We assist with material and cultural needs, provide help with translation and offer counseling to members of the local Hispanic Community. An English Language Program is provided for non-English speakers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. It is located at St.Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, but all the volunteers and materials are provided by NPC.

Tutoring

At our church and at a community school, volunteers work with students each week, helping with schoolwork and serving as mentors.

White County Food Pantry

On Super Bowl Sunday each year, our young people collect funds and food to support this countywide food bank.
